Whether from a medical, or neurological condition… or due to anxiety, sleeplessness, or habits that drain…
It doesn’t have to stay that way.
Each of us has the power to cultivate vitality with the right know-how, support, tools and intentional actions.
The breath can strengthen and the brain can change.
The mind and body are inherently and powerfully interconnected.
You can learn the tools to radically direct your own vitality.
We offer specific tools & techniques to cultivate: strong breath, clear thinking, confident communication, and restful sleep.
We coach the know-how and practice to apply self-directed neuroplasticity (positive brain change).
By learning: the framework of the nervous system (mind-body connectivity), it’s triggers, and the ways it automates, you will learn to successfully collaborate with the layers of the mind and body. Perhaps the most important collaboration you could choose to have.
Our unique specialties…
Integrative Clinical Hypnosis & Meditation Training:
Integrative hypnosis understands interaction between the conscious and subconscious mind. By learning how and when the mind is suggestible you can side step the undesirable suggestions and let the desired ones in. By applying this self-directed neuroplasticity, you become the director of your change. Functional MRI’s show the benefit of hypnotic suggestion on direct brain activation. Research reveals the benefits that a handful of sessions of hypnotic suggestion can have on conditions such as: brain injury, gastrointestinal disorders, and a variety of other conditions such as pain, anxiety, PTSD, and habit change. A study that reviewed 2000 articles, showed that 6 sessions of hypnosis was nearly 250% more successful than over 600 sessions of analytical therapy.
Cognitive Communication Therapy & Coaching:
With over 18 years of experience optimizing cognitive communication skills, we empower you with tools to improve focus, memory, organization and successful expression. We also support peak cognitive communication performance by helping folks master public speaking and optimize cognitive function for learning and growth.
Respiratory Muscle Training:
IMT: Inspiratory Muscle Training; EMT: Expiatory Muscle Training
Optimized breath leads to vitality in communication, sleep, physical performance and mental clarity. We teach you to use individualized resistance training tools that can significantly improve respiratory function in as little as 5-10 minutes a day. Respiratory muscle training tones the aerodigestive track and improves health and medical conditions such as: Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Reflux. It can optimize overall vitality and perhaps even cognitive performance.
Better sleep is good for the heart, the brain, and overall vitality and longevity. We teach various powerful, yet simple, tools to optimize sleep efficiency to help you fall asleep and stay asleep. Some of the integrative methods we coach include: regulating the autonomic nervous system, heart-brain coherence techniques, self-hypnosis, and exercises to tone the aerodigestive track.
Hi there, I’m Juli.
I founded Vital Therapeutics to empower people in recovery, healing and change. Beyond the misunderstandings society teaches (e.g. being the ‘victim of circumstances’ or ‘controlled by our habits’) there is a power we all hold to make change. Who knew?! It’s not easy, especially for those of us who try with the linear, logical mind. Will-power alone isn’t enough for most of us, come to find out it’s estimated that it taps into only 5% of our brain power. No wonder?! That said, the more I understand and work with mind-body therapeutics and self-directed neuroplasticity, the more hopeful and inspired I become. I have been working in healthcare for 20 years. I’m a certified and licensed speech language pathologist, certified integrative life coach, respiratory muscle training specialist, registered yoga teacher, clinical hypnotist, and a Reiki II practitioner. If you haven’t guessed…I love to learn, understand and share. Oh, and I also love dark chocolate. >> Read more
Neuroplasticity = A trail in the woods…(metaphor)
We can learn a bit about how our brain works through the metaphor of a forest. Well-marked trails are most traveled. Trails can be created during times of acute danger/ stress (e.g. a fallen tree or a family of bears taking over the area), or they can be the same old trails created long long ago that lead us to the same ol’ spot, some good, some not. New trails can also be created intentionally (with the right tools) to lead us to a new desirable location.
On autopilot we can become stuck using the same old trails, leading to the same old destinations; as a creature of habit, we can lose sight of the forest of possibility right in front of us. We can also lose steam or give up if we try to make a new trail, breaking through overgrowth, if we don’t have the right tools.
Self-directed neuroplasticity provides us the understanding of HOW to let certain trails grow over and how to build new trails to desired destinations.
